Today is the day!!

Well, today is the day.  All the planning, hard work, fundraising, and stressing (not that there was stressing-ha!) has come to this point...as I am sitting in a quiet church, waiting for all the kids and the bus to arrive.

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you.  Whether you hired our kids for youth-for-hire, or you sent them money when they wrote a letter, or you ate pizza at pizza ranch, or you bought baked goods, or you got dunked in the dunk tank, or you helped build the shed or sell raffle tickets, or you contributed to this trip in another way, YOU are the reason we are able to make this happen.  YOU are the reason that we are able to go and see new parts of the country, meet new people, and make new friends.  YOU are the reason we are going to load the bus in another hour or so and hit the road to do God's work with our hands.  So thank you.  Each and every one of you.

I also wanted to ask for your prayers.  As we travel, as we work, as we play and learn and hopefully sleep (!).  God has given us a big job to do, and we need your prayers to make it happen safely.  The final list of those going on the trip is:  Adam Ackerman, Mason Albin, Kameron Anderson, Eric Berthold, Pierce Cooper, Chance Danner, Emma Haugen, Alanna Ivers, Gretchen Ivers, Brittney Munson, Noah Novak, Ashley Potter, Ellie Schumacher, Kaia Sorby, Lucy Sutter-Hegg, Christian Widman, Steven Widman, and our amazing adults Jill Schumacher, and Darwin Potter.  Our great bus driver Bob, and me :).  Please keep us in your prayers.  And know that we are keeping you in ours.

Thank you, for the privilege of spending time with your kids.  I am so blessed to be the pastor of Saint Matthew's, and so thankful that we all get this opportunity!

Our next post will be on the road! :)

Your partner on the journey,
Pastor Amy Eisenmann
