Day 5
Today we mixed and poured concrete into part of a driveway. We all had different jobs and went into a rotation. We got the job done super fast and it was a lot of hard work. I found out that you can mix concrete with tarp like things with handles and not just in a mixer. The bags of concrete were 80 pounds, which is like, super heavy. But after we got all of the concrete got poured, we took a long break for lunch. After lunch we started breaking up part of a different driveway, with sledge hammers. We finished that super quick also and then we went back to the church to shower and eat. For our separate church times, we got to go to McDonald's. And this was not your run of the mill, average McDonald's. It had couches. And clean bathrooms. then we came back to the church again and now everyone is too hyper. They're playing half-court lighting, at 10:30. Well that's all from me. I'm tired. -Emma Haugen
So today we were working over at Adullam. We tore up some carpet that was in the Prayer room and we installed some new carpet. Then we hung up some clothes. After that we went back home and had a service then we went out for a snack at Mcdonald's. Then we came back and hit the hay!

Today has been a harder day for I think almost all of us. In the morning, we had to check and roll up carpet for them to sell. The bad part is that the boys needed to use some of it to re-carpet the pray room. But they left a big mess and didn't roll up the carpet after. So all of that work was for nothing. In the afternoon, they found out that they had more dishes that needed to be washed for the cafe. So the girls, plus Noah, got stuck washing dishes for two hours. And then after we ate lunch, it seemed like everyone kind of gave up and weren't working their hardest. Everyone was probably really tired from the past two days, even me. But I am extremely excited for tomorrow because we are going to have another cook out!!! But this time there is going to be more little kids! Which is my favorite part! So ya! Night Night!!
