Day 4
Today we had a hard day of work, sort of... my group, crew 3, didn't get any of our supplies until around 11, and we started at 9... so that was a lot of fun. After an hour of work and lunch though we began working very hard and finally finished pouring cementing by the end of the work day. Later that evening though doing our church group meeting we had a very heated discussion about whether or not everyone went to heaven. I fought for the side that every did while a few individuals, who will remain nameless, disagreed with me. After that I started typing this, so this is where I end? I guess... Kameron

Today was a good day of work! My group (the legit lemurs) worked at Adullam and helped organize the third floor... it wasn't that bad. Then we ate some lunch and had a 15 min. nap... yeah I didn't take a nap. After that we went to hand out fliers to the people in the hood for the cookout we were going to have today. At first I was a little scared but once we got going it was ok. Then we went back to the church and chilled for a bit. At 6 we when to the cookout and ate and we talked with the people who came to the cookout, the were really really nice. The little kids were so so cute!! After that we went to
the church and worshiped and then ate dessert! And that was pretty much the end of the day. yeah! -Kaia Sorby

From PA:
This evening was an amazing night of watching our kids fall in love with Milwaukee. As each of them interacted with different kids and adults from the neighborhood, it was like seeing God's family as it was actually intended to be. Big, diverse, all different kinds of people, eating, playing and laughing together. Earlier in the afternoon, my work crew had the opportunity to go walk around and invite people to the cookout...it pushed all of us beyond our comfort zone to walk in a neighborhood where we are the extreme minority. Where violence, prostitution and drugs are the norm. But we learned as we walked that in this neighborhood that is struggling so, there are also kind people, people who love God, and who care about their community. It was amazing to see God at work, changing our hearts from fear to love.
I hope you all realize that you are the reason we get to have these experiences. I hope you know that it is your time, prayers, donations, and love that got us there. We are so very thankful for the experiences you have given us...they are changing our lives forever! Please keep us in your prayers...we are praying for you!
Your sisters on the journey,
Pastor Amy
