Week of December 27-Jesus is Born-For You and For Me!
Week of December 27th, 2015
This past week at Saint Matthew’s, we entered into
the Christmas season, thankful that the baby Jesus is again born in the manger,
bringing us hope and peace. As you and
your family live into the 12 days of Christmas, we pray that they are days of rest,
renewal, and hope.
Remember the Faith 5 is 5
simple steps:
1. SHARE highs and lows of the day
2. READ and highlight a verse of Scripture in
your Bible
3. TALK about how the verse relates to your
highs and lows
4. PRAY for your highs and lows, your family and
the world
5. BLESS one another.
Share: As we
continue to live into the Christmas season, share with your family…where have
you seen God at work in the world this year?
Where have you seen signs of hope?
How can you as a family bring hope to your neighbors? To the community? To the world?
Read:
Sunday-Isaiah 41:10
Monday-Romans 8:25
Tuesday-Psalm 37:3-6
Wednesday-Philippians 4:8
Thursday-Psalm 119:114
Friday-1 John 3:18
Saturday-Colossians 3:15
Talk: What does the daily reading mean to you? How does it apply to you? To how your day has gone?
Pray: For those who
are grieving, for those alone at Christmas time, for the homeless, hungry, and
forgotten.
Bless: Make the sign of the cross on the forehead of the
one being blessed and say… “You are a child of God, live in God’s love.”
