Parable of the Lost Coin
Week of July 2nd,
2014
This week at Saint Matthew’s, on Wednesday night, we
continue our summer in the parables with the Parable of the Lost Coin. As we share the story of how the woman
searched her house until she finds the coin, we are reminded of how diligently
God searches for us, and values us, and celebrates with us when we are “found”
again. Our prayers are with you as you
spend time in your Faith 5 this week. May
your time together help your family to remember that to God you are priceless!
Remember the Faith 5 is 5
simple steps:
1. SHARE highs and lows of the day
2. READ and highlight a verse of Scripture in
your Bible
3. TALK about how the verse relates to your
highs and lows
4. PRAY for your highs and lows, your family and
the world
5. BLESS one another.
Share: Did you
misplace anything today? Share about what happened. Did you find any
“treasures” today? Share about that too.
Read:
Wednesday-Luke 19:10
Thursday-Philippians
4:6-7
Friday-1 Peter 5:6-7
Saturday-Philippians 4:19
Sunday-Isaiah 41:13
Monday-Psalm 37:4-5
Tuesday-Psalm 46:1
Talk: What does the daily reading mean to you? How does it apply to you? To how your day has gone?
Pray: For missing
children, for parents who are missing their children, for those who haven’t
found God yet, for the homeless, for the orphans, for those who are grieving,
thanks for those who have been found, joy for reunited family members
Bless: Make the sign of the cross on the forehead of the
one being blessed and say… “May you know the Lord, our God is with you wherever
you go.”
