Hope in the Hard Times
Week of Nov 6, 2013
This week at Saint
Matthew’s, we are talking about hope, and how to find hope when all seems lost. Our
prayer for you this week is that you can spend time during your Faith5, renewing
your hope in the God who loves you deeply.
May your time together help your family to strengthen your faith and
your relationships with each other and our awesome God.
Remember the Faith 5 is 5
simple steps:
1. SHARE highs and lows of the day
2. READ and highlight a verse of Scripture in
your Bible
3. TALK about how the verse relates to your highs
and lows
4. PRAY for your highs and lows, your family and
the world
5. BLESS one another.
Share: Was there
anything in your day that made it hard to have hope? What is one place you saw hope today? Was there anyone who renewed your hope?
Read:
Wednesday-Romans 12:12
Thursday-Isaiah 40:31
Friday-Psalm 39:7
Saturday-Isaiah 41:10
Sunday-Romans 8:24-25
Monday-Hebrews 11:1
Tuesday-Psalm 43:5
Talk: What does the daily reading mean to you? How does it apply to you? To how your day has gone?
Pray: For those
who have lost their hope, for those that are pregnant, for those who are lonely,
for those filled with joy
Bless: Make a cross on the forehead of the person being
blessed and say “May you find hope in the Lord who loves you unconditionally.”
