Back to School Faith 5

Week of August 22, 2013

Parents, Grandparents, and all lovers of children...as our kids head back to school, we thought we would create this week's Faith 5 around the topic of learning, wisdom, and families.  We pray that you are able to grab 5 minutes at the start or close of each day as a family, and find ways to connect with your families and our awesome God on a deeper level.  May your time together be blessed, and your school year filled with joy!

Remember the Faith 5 is 5 simple steps:
1.  SHARE highs and lows of the day
2.  READ and highlight a verse of Scripture in your Bible
3.  TALK about how the verse relates to your highs and lows
4.  PRAY for your highs and lows, your family and the world
5.  BLESS one another.

Share:  What was your child's favorite part of school today?  What has been their favorite part so far?  What has been their least favorite?  What is one thing they have learned?

Read:
Thursday-Romans 12:2
Friday-Proverbs 16:3
Saturday-Deuteronomy 11:18-21
Sunday-Romans 12:1
Monday-Proverbs 9:9
Tuesday-2 Timothy 3:14-15
Wednesday-Galatians 5:25-26
Talk: What does the daily reading mean to you?  How does it apply to you?  To how your day has gone?

Pray:  For each other, for your teachers, for school administration, for those who can't go to school

Bless:  Lay your hand on your child's shoulders...say: May God bless you as you learn and grow this year.  Have your child lay their hands on your shoulders and say:  May God bless you as you work and take care of our family.
